Residential Counselor II

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Counselor to join our R.I.S.E Youth Program at the Gandara Mental Health Center, Inc. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a therapeutic environment within the residence, meeting the needs of clients in areas such as safety, medical, emotional, food, clothing, and shelter.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- To attend scheduled clinical and staff meetings to determine treatment plans and re-evaluate case needs and goals.
- To maintain client records in accordance with standard format and timetables.
- To assist members daily in the enhancement of their ADL skills through practical experience and training.
- To promote the rights of individuals with developmental/intellectual disabilities to exercise choice and make meaningful decisions.
- To provide case management, outreach, and advocacy to members, and be accountable for the quality and quantity of casework.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Associates degree or bachelor's degree in a human service field preferred.
- At least one year of experience.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving history required.
