American Family Care is seeking a skilled Radiologic Imaging Specialist to join our team at our Southampton location.
Job SummaryWe are committed to providing high-quality patient care and exceptional service. As a Radiologic Imaging Specialist, you will perform radiographic and diagnostic imaging procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing injuries and diseases.
Your responsibilities will include greeting patients, positioning them for diagnostic imaging procedures, practicing radiation protection techniques, and processing images for review by physicians and radiologists.
Key Responsibilities- Greet patients and explain procedures in a compassionate manner
- Position patients appropriately for diagnostic imaging procedures
- Practice ALARA radiation protection techniques
- Process images, review for proper identification and quality control, and prepare images for reading by a physician and/or radiologist
- Utilize digital and non-digital diagnostic imaging equipment, ensuring compliance with approved radiology techniques and policies
- Aid providers with prescribed patient treatments in accordance with approved standards, policies, procedures, and protocols
- Perform routine maintenance, diagnose malfunctions, and make minor repairs on equipment as needed
- Complete forms and maintain records, logs, and reports of work performed
To be considered for this role, you must have an associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training. ARRT registration is required, and board eligibility is preferred. Licenses per state regulation are also necessary.
Estimated SalaryThe estimated salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
