Responsibilities & Requirements
**Potential Incentives for External RNs**- Up to $10,000 Sign-on Bonus based on experience

- Returning employees must not have been employed by Kettering Health for the last 6 months prior to rehire
Key Responsibilities
- The Registered Nurse employs the nursing process to deliver care to patients across various settings, collaborating with other healthcare professionals.
- The RN is responsible for their own professional growth and practice within the legal scope of care.
- By utilizing organizational resources, the RN serves as a patient advocate, ensuring safe care delivery, including delegation of tasks and involvement in performance improvement initiatives.
- The nursing care provided within the Kettering Health Network embodies the organization's missions, vision, values, and philosophies.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program (NLN, ACEN, or CCNE) if a new graduate.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred (to be completed within 5 years of hire).
- Nurses returning to acute care after five or more years may need to provide proof of successful completion of a refresher course.
- BLS certification is required.
- ACLS, NRP, PALS certifications as determined by unit scope of practice.
Preferred Qualifications
This position is within the Endoscopy department at Kettering Health Dayton. The unit functions as both a pre/post procedural area and requires ACLS certification. There is an on-call requirement throughout the week and a weekend rotation. Flexibility to float to other Kettering Health locations may be necessary when staffing demands arise.
