Key Responsibilities

  • The Registered Nurse employs the nursing process to deliver comprehensive care to patients across various settings, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
  • The RN is responsible for their professional growth and adheres to the legal scope of nursing practice.
  • Utilizing available resources, the RN advocates for patient safety, including the delegation of tasks and involvement in quality improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Must hold a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of Ohio.
  • Graduates from accredited nursing programs are encouraged to apply.
  • A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred and should be obtained within five years of employment.
  • Nurses returning to acute care after a significant hiatus may need to complete a refresher course.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is mandatory.
  • Advanced certifications such as ACLS, NRP, and PALS may be required based on unit-specific needs.
