Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Event Security Specialist to join our team at The Texas Rangers. As a key member of our security team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety and security of our guests, employees, and assets.

Key Responsibilities
  • Event Operations: Assist in providing a safe and secure environment for all events, including concerts, festivals, and other activities.
  • Access Control: Verify credentials and control access to restricted areas, ensuring that only authorized personnel and guests have access.
  • Intelligence Gathering: Observe and investigate all suspicious activity, customer complaints, and emergencies, and report any incidents to the Security Supervisor.
  • Patrol and Monitoring: Patrol the premises to ensure the building and parking lots are secure, and monitor assigned sections for guest or safety issues.
  • Post-Event Activities: Assist with post-event activities, such as clearing the seating area and ensuring that all equipment is secure.
Requirements
  • Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Registration: Ability to be registered with the Texas Commission of Private Security.
  • Training: Ability to be trained to operate a golf cart, Magnetometer Wand, and Walk-Through Metal Detector.
  • Communication Skills: Effective verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to exercise sound judgment and remain calm during times of stress.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift, pull, push, and/or carry 25-60 lbs. as necessary, and to work in outdoor weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and rain.
  • Availability: Ability to work a flexible schedule, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Security Experience: Previous security, law enforcement, and/or military experience strongly preferred.
  • Customer Service: Ability to provide excellent customer service and interact with guests in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Teamwork: Ability to work independently in a fast-paced team environment and to contribute to a positive and supportive team culture.
