Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team at Bon Secours Mercy Health. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, visitors, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Patrol hospital facilities and campus property to maintain a visible police presence and prevent criminal activity.
  • Respond to calls for assistance and emergencies, using sound judgment and quick thinking to resolve situations.
  • Conduct preliminary investigations into hospital-related incidents and work closely with local law enforcement agencies as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records of daily activities and report any unusual incidents or criminal activity.
  • Assist with the transportation of valuable property and perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree preferred.
  • Current OPOTA Certificate and BLS certification required.
  • 1-3 years of experience in law enforcement or a related field preferred.
  • Firearm qualifications and computer skills required.
