Punch Press Operator Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Punch Press Operator to join our team in Chippewa Falls, WI. As a Punch Press Operator, you will be responsible for producing precision metal parts using a CNC punch press. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the machines operate at peak efficiency, are well-stocked, and properly maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Measure and inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Load workpieces into the machine and set up production schedules.
  • Monitor machine operations and record relevant data.
  • Test and adjust machine speeds or functions based on product specifications.
  • Clean and lubricate machines as needed.
  • Position and secure workpieces against fixtures or stops on machine beds or dies.
  • Conduct quality inspections and document results.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1 to 3 years of machine operator experience in a manufacturing setting, preferably in sheet metal manufacturing.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
