Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise Medication Aides in their daily tasks.
- Maintain accurate records related to resident admissions, transfers, and discharges.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and support personnel to ensure comprehensive care for residents.
- Administer medications and verify medication records for accuracy.
- Develop and implement care programs, objectives, and policies to ensure quality service.
- Provide leadership to nursing staff and conduct daily rounds to ensure adherence to care plans.
- Document nursing notes in a clear and descriptive manner reflecting resident care.
- Participate in facility surveys conducted by authorized agencies.
- Uphold confidentiality of resident information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a nursing degree from an accredited institution and hold a current, unencumbered RN license in the state. Familiarity with nursing practices, medical procedures, and relevant regulations is essential. Experience with Electronic Medical Records and knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement programs is preferred.
