NICU Charge Nurse

As a NICU Charge Nurse at Swedish Health Services, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and leading a team of dedicated nurses. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients and their families.
Key Responsibilities:- Coordinate patient care activities on the nursing unit, ensuring that all daily departmental activities are completed.
- Make and adjust patient care assignments based on patient care needs, coordinating emergency interventions and clinical and administrative escalation as needed.
- Assess, identify appropriate nursing diagnoses, plans, implements, and evaluates patients' care, developing and updating the patient's plan of care to achieve patient goals and optimize outcomes.
- Advocate for ethical and holistic care, partnering in care planning to promote the autonomy, dignity, rights, values, and beliefs of those we serve.
- Facilitate learning, serving as a role model for staff and assisting staff in following established best practice standards.
- Align practice with safety and quality, actively participating in performance improvement activities within the unit and with other departments.
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Washington Registered Nurse License upon hire.
- National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
- National Provider NRP - American Academy of Pediatrics upon hire.
- 1 year NICU Nursing experience with demonstrated leadership abilities.
