About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiation Protection Specialist to join our team at SUN Technical Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe handling and use of radioactive materials in our nuclear power plant.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and evaluate radiological conditions in the workplace to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Develop and implement effective radiation protection programs to minimize exposure to workers and the public.
  • Conduct regular surveys and monitoring of radiation levels to identify potential hazards.
  • Provide training and guidance to plant personnel on radiation safety procedures and protocols.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless execution of radiation protection programs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent, with a strong background in chemistry and mathematics.
  • Ability to pass knowledge exams and performance evaluations administered through the EPRI process.
  • Meet the requirements of one of the following standards: ANSI N18.1-1971, ANSI/ANS 3.1-1978, ANSI/ANS 3.1-1993, or ANSI/ANS 3.1-2014.
