Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare medications by analyzing and interpreting physician orders, identifying therapeutic incompatibilities, and assessing patient allergies.
  • Dispense medications by packaging and labeling pharmaceuticals in compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Evaluate and monitor drug therapy regimens for potential adverse effects, drug interactions, and allergies.
  • Provide counseling to patients regarding their medications, offering expertise in the safe administration of prescriptions.
  • Supervise Pharmacy Technicians and support staff directly.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, providers, and other healthcare professionals to address medication-related concerns.
  • Adhere to all applicable legal standards, regulations, and procedures.
  • Assist the Pharmacist in Charge with the management of daily pharmacy operations and workflows.
  • Encourage, develop, and inspire the pharmacy team to work cohesively towards achieving the goals of Mosaic Pharmacy Services while ensuring quality, patient safety, and satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited College of Pharmacy (PharmD preferred).
  • A minimum of five years of pharmacy experience; leadership or management experience is a plus.
  • Licensed to practice in Virginia.
  • Familiarity with Frameworks and Parata is preferred.
