Job Title: Technical Designer, Men's Tailoring

Job Summary:

The Technical Designer, Men's Tailoring will provide technical support for Calvin Klein Supply Chain by utilizing strong technical proficiency, organization, and leadership skills in men's apparel.

Key Responsibilities:

* Interact with Design and Merchant during proto development to achieve design standards for the category.
* Oversee the creation and maintenance of prototype, sample, and production status charts and reference books in conjunction with the compliance approval process.
* Create spec sheets following blocks and design directions.
* Direct block, proto, and production fittings.
* Update all fit notes and revised size specs into PLM/PDM in a timely manner and pass to production team.
* Ability to clearly communicate pattern spec and fit changes through sourcing to offshore vendors.
* Ensure that all prototypes and samples are reviewed upon arrival for trim and details.
* Communicate in day-to-day activities with counterpart teams (Design, PD, sourcing, merchant, offshore team, and vendors).
* Organize proto and sample review setups.
* Develop and set up in-house block libraries.
* Understand the printing and testing process and follow up with offshore and vendors to improve printing quality and testing passed.

Requirements:

* 5+ years of related work experience.
* Technical design expertise in tailored clothing, preferably men's apparel.
* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in a related field.
* Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
* Professional person with command presence.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* Proficiency in using PLM/PDM (Centric PLM a plus).
* Adobe Illustrator.
* Microsoft Office Suite.

Pay Range: $85,000 - $95,000
