Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Traffic Engineer to lead and manage traffic engineering activities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in traffic engineering and transportation planning, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality projects.

The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, coordinating traffic studies, and providing expert guidance on transportation infrastructure projects. A desire to learn and tackle complex challenges is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage traffic engineering activities
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
  • Coordinate traffic studies
  • Provide expert guidance on transportation infrastructure projects

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or related field
  • Minimum 8+ years' experience in traffic engineering and transportation planning
  • Knowledge of design techniques for developing solutions for engineering problems
  • Experience with developing traffic management and control plans, detours, signing, marking, and traffic studies for DOTs, Counties, and cities
  • Familiarity with MnDOT design standards
  • Experienced with traffic safety analysis
  • Strong knowledge of traffic engineering principles, traffic modeling software, and transportation planning methodologies
  • Proficient with Synchro/SimTraffic and HCS software. Vissim modeling is a plus
