**Job Summary**
The Carondelet Health Network is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Security Officer to join our team. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our patients, visitors, and staff.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide a safe and secure environment for all persons on the premises.
- Conduct shift pass down reports, vehicle and foot patrols, patient assists, emergency preparedness, guest assistance, access control, and de-escalate hostile persons and situations.
- Have a general understanding of the security surveillance system.
- Effectively and efficiently respond to calls for service.
- Work collaboratively with other security personnel and hospital staff to ensure a safe and secure environment.
**Requirements**
- High School Education/GED
- Successful completion of a Level II or Level III Security Officer Training Course approved by the Texas Department of Public Safety, Private Security Bureau.
- Must appear on Texas Department of Public Safety, Private Security Bureau website as a registered Level II or Level III Security Officer.
- Possess a current, non-expired Level II (Non-Commissioned) or Level III (Commissioned) Private Security Registration card.
- Current Texas or New Mexico issued Drivers License, Class C.
- CPR/BLS (American Heart Association) certified or able to obtain certification within six (6) months of date of hire.
- Customer service and conflict interaction skills, preferred.
- Successful completion of Crisis Prevention Intervention (Non-Violent Intervention) or able to obtain within six (6) months of date of hire.
- 3 year minimum current Security experience or Law Enforcement equivalent.
- Must have reliable means of transportation to work.
- Must be available to work various hours and shifts as needed.
**Working Conditions**
The Security Officer will work in a fast-paced environment and must be able to respond to emergency situations quickly and effectively. The Security Officer will be required to work various hours and shifts as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
