Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Administrative Specialist to join our team at the John Glenn Research Center at Lewis Field. As a strategic partner, you will serve as a single point of contact for providing consulting services to internal and external clients to achieve their mission-driven engagement and event objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate strategic planning, coordination, and management of center events and employee engagement activities.
  • Assist in planning and directing center integration across enterprise initiatives, dealing with complex issues that involve planning, communicating to stakeholders, implementing, and evaluating overall goals, budget, and procurement activities.
  • Serve as the organization's point of contact for a variety of administrative functions, including budget, logistics, resource coordination, and liaison with the center's support organizations.
  • Provide advice and guidance in support of planning, developing, executing, and managing institutional budgets, action items, and key initiatives and activities.
  • Conduct continuous evaluation and analysis of current processes to promote innovation, efficiencies, and enhanced workflows.
  • Foster a culture of engagement, diversity, inclusiveness, excellence, and innovation.
  • Champion NASA's commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility to create an environment that promotes a commitment to safety, integrity, and teamwork.
Requirements
  • Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.
  • To qualify for GS-13, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level.
  • Planning, coordinating, and executing special events or projects with multiple tasks, anticipating and mitigating issues.
  • Managing day-to-day operations of a business unit or activity to accomplish mission objectives and goals.
  • Applying financial, budget, or administrative operations and processes to optimize operational and investment decisions.
