About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Policy Manager to join our Cross-Issue team at TikTok. As a key member of our Trust & Safety team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our global online community.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety principles and policies for TikTok's diverse and global user base.
  • Collaborate with internal and external experts to assess areas of harm and design nuanced policy interventions.
  • Support the development of policy frameworks and rules for new products and features, as well as for emerging business priorities.
  • Provide in-depth review and feedback to policy enforcement teams to ensure principles and consistent application of policy.
  • Support safety strategy development for projects that span thematic areas and require rapid turnaround times.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in Trust & Safety, Public Policy, Law, Academia, or a related field.
  • Strong writing and executive communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex topics into concise and digestible materials.
  • Deep understanding of technology, Internet, social media, and/or platform content issues.
  • High technical aptitude for understanding complex technologies, tools, systems, and issues.
  • Ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.
  • Resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.
