Job Description

We are looking for motivated landscape architects and designers who can disrupt the classic designer/client relationship and build a new model as part of our growing and entrepreneurial team. As a Full Time Designer, you will work directly with customers to create designs that elevate their outdoor space. You must have good plant knowledge, experience in residential design, and excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create basemaps that reflect customers' existing conditions and future goals through a series of touch points, including video consultations
  • Setup consultation calls with clients, manage revisions, educate them when necessary, and meet deadlines for each step of the process
  • Provide exceptional customer service by listening carefully, asking questions, treating customers with kindness and respect, managing challenging situations, and engaging design leadership when needed
  • Work in partnership with team leads, designers, and other Tilly staff, with opportunities to participate in strategic projects during the off-season

Qualifications

  • Available to work 20+ hours per week
  • 3+ years of experience working directly with residential homeowners
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in landscape architecture
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and InDesign
  • Ability to create base maps remotely and work independently with sound design and customer service decisions
  • Relentless focus on the customer experience and design process, as well as tech savvy and comfortable navigating Google products, video calls, and project management software
  • Excited to make an impact, drive results, and create happiness in a high-growth startup environment

Compensation

The estimated salary for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 per year, based on national averages for similar roles in the United States. Fees are paid on a monthly basis and based on a flat rate per project.
