We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Orthopedic Pediatric Surgeon to join our team at VCU Health - MCV Physicians. As a key member of our pediatric orthopedic service line, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to children with orthopedic conditions, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment, and contributing to the growth and development of our academic program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert care to pediatric patients with orthopedic conditions, including diagnosis, treatment, and management of complex cases.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including residents, fellows, and faculty members, to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
  • Participate in clinical and administrative research, including performance improvement initiatives and formal extramurally funded investigations.
  • Teach and mentor learners at all levels, including medical students, interns, and residents.
  • Contribute to the growth and development of our academic program, including scholarly publication and presentation.

Requirements:

  • M.D. degree and ABOS certification/eligibility in orthopedic surgery.
  • Successful completion of an accredited fellowship program in pediatric orthopedic surgery.
  • Record of scholarly publication in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Direct experience managing complex pediatric orthopedic cases and competence in standard inpatient procedures.
  • A solid understanding of the pediatric orthopedic role and function and interest in teaching and growth in an academic setting.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated ability to work as a member of a team, providing effective communication, both verbal and written.
  • Interest in furthering the research, scholarly, and academic missions of the group.
