Job Title: Centerless Tube Grinder

Technique, Inc. is a leading manufacturer of high-quality metal components, offering exceptional service and support to our customers. We are currently seeking a skilled Centerless Tube Grinder to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Centerless Tube Grinder will be responsible for setting up and operating centerless grinding machines to grind the external diameter of metal workpieces to precise specifications. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Mount and dress grinding wheels to specifications
  • Set grinding speeds, feed rates, and spacing between wheel faces
  • Start and monitor machine operation
  • Verify dimensions of ground workpieces using measuring instruments
  • Change worn grinding wheels and perform first article checks
Physical Demands/Working Conditions:

This role requires standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the day. The employee must be able to frequently lift and move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 1-2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Strong technical skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
