We're currently seeking an exceptional Principal Android Software Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of television.

As a Senior Leader, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Telly TV OS, core applications & Android Open Source. Your expertise will drive technical direction, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality applications and features.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain Telly TV OS, core applications & Android Open Source.
  • Drive technical direction, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Ensure seamless integration and delivery of business requirements.
  • Analyze performance data daily to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for optimization.
  • Resolve operational issues proactively, ensuring continuous improvement of firmware developer operations.
  • Lead by example, serving as a player/coach, and preparing to build and manage a small SW team over the next year.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Android development, with a strong portfolio of published applications.

Technical Skills:

">
  • Proficiency in Kotlin and Java and strong understanding of Android SDK, NDK, Jetpack components, and Android Studio. Strong understanding of software dev principles.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs, third-party libraries, and cloud-based services.
  • Knowledge of UI/UX design principles and best practices.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems.

Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Self-motivated and proactive in driving technical solutions.

Salary Range: $200,000 - $250,000 per year, depending on experience.
