About the Role

Crescens is seeking a highly skilled AWS/DevOps Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining enterprise-grade systems in AWS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement scalable and secure infrastructure solutions using AWS services such as VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, VPG, Security Groups, EC2, Autoscaling, Load Balancers, RDS, Aurora, Dynamo, EKS, ECR, SQS, SNS, S3, IAM, CloudFront, and CloudWatch.
  • Partner with application teams to optimize deployment and configuration strategies, and provide hands-on support for existing environments.
  • Implement tools and automation for build, configuration management, continuous integration (CI), static and dynamic code analysis, deployment, and application monitoring.
  • Work closely with Monitoring Engineering to ensure all relevant application and database KPI's are implemented within the monitoring framework.
  • Participate in all Production Support activities during incidents and outages, and provide technical support for lower and upper environments.
  • Participate in capacity planning, tuning systems stability, provisioning, performance, and scaling of the application infrastructure.
Requirements
  • 5+ years' experience with AWS services, including Networking, Compute, Database, Kubernetes, and Other.
  • Ability to run and modify Infrastructure as Code (IaC) scripts in Terraform or CloudFormation.
  • Knowledge of debugging containers running in a Kubernetes cluster.
  • Linux system administration skills, including managing and troubleshooting Linux systems and services.
  • AWS provisioning and caching experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Monitoring Applications: Splunk, Dynatrace.
  • Postgres experience.
  • Pulsar experience.
  • Bash or Python programming skills.
  • Nginx: basic understanding of Nginx configurations and reverse proxies.
  • Networking: solid understanding of routing and networking concepts.
  • Agile development environment.
  • Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery - Jenkins deployments and pipelines.
  • Collaboration platforms such as JIRA, Confluence, Wiki, ServiceNow.
  • Containerization technologies such as Docker, Pivotal.
  • Configuration Management tools such as Ansible, Salt, Chef, Puppet.
Education

Bachelor's degree required; relevant, equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
