Qualifications

To be successful as a Certified Home Health Aide, you'll need:

  • At least one year of experience as a Home Health Aide and successful completion of competency evaluation.
  • The ability to perform tasks involving physical activity, including heavy lifting, extensive bending, and standing.
  • The ability to document observations and provision of care according to policies and procedures.
Required Certifications and Licensures

You'll need to possess and maintain:

  • A current Home Health Aide/Nurse Aide Certificate meeting HCFA requirements, if required by the state where employed.
  • Valid CPR certification while employed in a clinical role.
  • A licensed driver who can travel to all business locations.
