Deputy District Attorney

As a Deputy District Attorney I, II, or III, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of cases, from misdemeanors to felonies. Our team is dedicated to upholding justice and ensuring public safety.

The ideal candidate for this role will possess excellent analytical and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of the legal system. You will be responsible for reviewing police reports, conducting investigations, and drafting legal documents.

This hourly, non-exempt position comes with a competitive salary range of $37.97 - $60.09 per hour, based on equivalent experience and internal equity. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan contributions, and paid time off, Klamath County also offers up to 12 weeks of fully employer-paid leave per benefit year for qualifying events.

• Graduation from an accredited law school and membership in good standing with the Oregon Bar are required.
• Experience in prosecuting criminal offenses, including DUII and misdemeanor assaults, thefts, etc., and felony cases, is highly desirable.
• Current driver's license and juris doctor degree are also necessary.
