**Job Summary**
Asbury Communities is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sous Chef to join our team. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of food preparation and presentation in our dining facilities.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Select, orient, train, supervise, and coach cooks to ensure exceptional food preparation and presentation.
- Train kitchen staff in food preparation, safety, and sanitation principles and practices to maintain a clean and healthy environment.
- Assist the General Manager of Dining Services in planning, developing, and implementing kitchen policies and procedures to ensure efficient and effective food service operations.
- Assist the General Manager of Dining Services in scheduling cooks and other dietary staff to meet the needs of our residents and guests.
**Requirements:**
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- At least five years of experience in food preparation management.
- Exemplary knowledge of food preparation activities and techniques as well as food service operations, including budgeting, safety, and sanitation.
- Post-secondary culinary arts training is desirable, and a college degree is preferred.
- ServSafe certification is highly preferred.
**Working Conditions:**
- Full-time position, 40 hours per week.
- Flexible shifts to support business needs, including weekends and holidays.
