**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at ECHN. As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and improving functional outcomes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate patients based on departmental standards and develop individualized treatment plans to achieve measurable goals.
  • Conduct thorough assessments and modify evaluations as needed to ensure accurate diagnoses and effective treatment strategies.
  • Treat patients with appropriate therapeutic techniques, including physical agents (modalities) and manual therapy, to attain established goals.
  • Utilize evidence-based practices to educate patients and families on home exercise programs and functional activities to maximize independent living.
  • Determine when patients have achieved maximal benefit from treatment and recommend discharge when appropriate.
  • Document patient information accurately and consistently, adhering to insurance guidelines and departmental policies.
  • Foster interdepartmental communication and collaboration with referring physicians to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Accurately fill out and submit charges daily, ensuring timely reimbursement for services provided.
  • Maintain professional conduct and adhere to the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) code of ethics at all times.
  • Perform duties with proper body mechanics and safety protocols to prevent injuries.
  • Supervise affiliated students and provide guidance on best practices in speech language pathology.
  • Pursue ongoing education and training to enhance clinical skills and stay current with industry developments.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Graduate degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Current Connecticut licensure for Speech Language Pathology.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competency from the ASHA.
  • Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Reliable transportation to travel between work sites.

Compensation and Benefits:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $83,000-$110,000, depending on experience. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plan, paid time off, and continuing education opportunities.
