Position Overview:
Andrews & Cole, LLC is looking for an Investment Portfolio Specialist to enhance the Finance and Operations team’s initiatives.

In this role, the successful candidate will collaborate with senior leadership to conduct comprehensive financial performance evaluations at both property and fund levels. Responsibilities will include maintaining the corporate financial database and managing financial information requests.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise fund administration tasks and perform quarterly financial statement assessments.
  • Assist in liquidity evaluations for funds, including recommendations for capital calls and distributions.
  • Maintain financial models for properties and portfolios, focusing on Fair Market Value assessments.
  • Ensure the collection and upkeep of property-level financial data through the corporate database.
  • Collaborate with operational partners to integrate the joint venture accounting team into the financial database.
  • Prepare internal reports for asset management.
  • Support the Investor Relations team in addressing inquiries from both prospective and current investors.
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses and reporting for the Acquisitions and Asset Management teams.
Qualifications:

A Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, real estate, or a related discipline is strongly preferred; prior internship experience in real estate or banking is highly regarded.

Proficiency in financial modeling is essential, along with a solid understanding of financial analysis, modeling, and valuation techniques. Familiarity with financial software, including Excel and Argus, is preferred.

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, along with strong presentation capabilities, are required. Candidates should demonstrate excellent critical thinking, judgment, strategic planning, and problem-solving abilities.

Outstanding organizational skills and the capacity to prioritize multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines are crucial. Candidates should be willing to conduct market research, which may involve travel.

We value drive, enthusiasm, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills. A solid understanding of finance concepts such as NOI returns, cash flow returns, internal rate of return, present value/discounted cash flow, and capital markets is strongly preferred.

A strong academic record is essential, along with 2-4 years of relevant professional experience. Excellent financial modeling capabilities and proficiency in Excel are expected (candidates may be assessed on these skills).

Preference will be given to candidates with previous experience at a principal real estate firm, real estate brokerage, real estate investment banking, or public accounting firm with a focus on real estate or capital markets.

Experience in data analytics, research, and database management is advantageous. Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, presentation, and analytical skills are necessary. The ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure in a dynamic environment is essential.
