Job Summary

UNC Health is seeking a highly skilled Pharmacist Coordinator to join our team at UNC Rockingham Cancer Center. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing clinical and operational oversight, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of a clinical and/or operational team or program, developing and reviewing clinical protocols and operational policies/procedures.
  • Coordinate pharmacy teams/programs activities, documenting progress toward approved team/program clinical and operational goals.
  • Develop and maintain a training program for the team, mentoring colleagues to ensure proficiency of all team members.
  • Teach students, residents, and new pharmacy staff, participating in scholarly activities.
  • Provide formal and informal work performance feedback to team members, including the preparation and administration of performance reviews.
  • Manage priorities to meet team/program expectations, creating and/or maintaining policies and procedures specific to the practice area.
  • Provide clinical and operational pharmacist services to patients as required, identifying and implementing clinical pathway and/or operational process improvement initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners, participating in candidate interviews and selection.
  • Support compliance with federal, state, local, and institutional policies, procedures, standards, and regulations.
Requirements
  • PharmD or BS Pharmacy Degree.
  • Active pharmacist licensure with the NC Board of Pharmacy or obtainable before initiation of employment.
  • Two years of prior pharmacist experience or equivalent required.
  • Proficient in Epic use, with previous sterile compounding experience, leadership experience, and oncology knowledge preferred.
