Position Overview

The MRI Technologist role at Barnes-Jewish Hospital Allied offers a unique opportunity for skilled professionals to engage in travel assignments. This position requires specialized certification and experience in MRI technology.

Certification Requirements
  • ARRT MR Certification: Must possess ARRT MR certification to be considered.
  • BLS Certification: Basic Life Support certification is mandatory.
Job Responsibilities
  • Daily Caseload: Manage a typical caseload per technician.
  • Experience: A minimum of 1 year in MRI technology is required.
  • First-time Applicants: New professionals are welcome to apply.
  • Guaranteed Hours: A commitment of 40 hours per week.
  • Special Requirements: Proficiency with Siemens equipment is essential, along with BLS and ARRT MR certifications. Experience with IV starts and PACS is preferred.
  • Preferred Experience: Familiarity with Outpatient/Inpatient settings, ER, Level 1 Trauma, Teaching hospitals, community hospitals, NICU, and Adult ICU is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Knowledge in various imaging techniques including abdomen, pelvis, head/neck, chest, breast, spine, musculoskeletal, CINE, Diffusion, Gradient Echo Imaging, and more is preferred.
  • Software Proficiency: Candidates should ideally be adept in two of the three software systems used.
  • Current Equipment: Experience with Siemens scanners such as Espree, Trio, Aera, Skyra, Sola, and Vida is required.
Job Specifications
  • ARRT MR Certification: Required.
  • BLS Certification: Required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 1 year in the field.
  • Specialty Experience: Experience in multiple areas is preferred.
  • Pending State License: Accepted.
  • RTO Restrictions: Maximum of 7 days.
Schedule Information
  • Shift Pattern: 5-day work week.
  • Work Schedule: Monday to Friday with one Saturday each month.
  • Holiday Work: Potential for one holiday shift if it coincides with the contract.
  • Weekend Requirements: Every other weekend.
  • On-call Requirements: Not required.
Additional Information
  • Local Candidates: Not accepted.
  • RTO Restrictions: No more than 7 days.
