Job Title: Stockroom Leader

Job Summary:

The Stockroom Leader is a key member of our warehouse team, responsible for overseeing the efficient receipt, storage, servicing, and dispatch of a wide variety of products. This individual will ensure productivity targets are achieved and that all warehouse processes are operating smoothly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily workflow of the warehouse, ensuring efficient operations and productivity targets are met.
  • Schedule and organize staff to ensure proper staffing of all shifts, including weekends.
  • Hire and train new warehouse team members, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • Conduct timely and constructive performance evaluations, addressing areas for improvement and recognizing outstanding performance.
  • Handle discipline and motivation of team members as needed, in accordance with company policy.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient warehouse operations and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Review training needs of the warehouse team, modifying or improving existing programs, and/or developing new training programs to meet those needs.
  • Complete all required management reports, providing accurate and timely information to support business decisions.
  • Execute maintenance activities as needed, ensuring the warehouse remains safe and efficient.
  • Research and present new ideas to improve warehouse operations, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Attend and participate in regularly scheduled and impromptu meetings, staying informed and contributing to decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies, maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Lead periodic physical inventories, ensuring accurate raw inventory throughout the facility.
  • Execute excellent 5S strategy for cleanliness and organization, maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned, supporting the warehouse team and driving business success.

Requirements:

  • Three + years of related supervisory experience, with a proven track record of success in warehouse management.
  • Proficient with inventory reporting systems, Microsoft Office Suite, or similar software, with the ability to analyze data and drive business decisions.
  • Thorough understanding of warehouse policies and procedures, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to operate warehouse equipment, with forklift certification a plus.
  • Strong time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and external partners.
  • Conversational English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire change across all levels of management and staff.
  • Thorough understanding of applicable federal, state, local, and company safety policies, with the ability to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ability to develop team members, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet performance expectations.
  • Willingness to work occasional weekends, with the ability to adapt to changing business needs.
  • Experience with AI and proven implementation, with the ability to drive innovation and improvement in warehouse operations.
  • Bilingual (Spanish), with the ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

Work Environment:

This job operates in a non-climate-controlled environment, with ambient air temperature potentially exceeding outside air temperature, reaching over 100 degrees Fahrenheit at times.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to bend at the waist and knees and stand for extended periods of time. The employee is frequently required to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse. The employee is occasionally required to lift 25 pounds.
