Job Overview:
TalentBridge is seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our procurement team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing commodities essential to our organization's operations. This role requires a deep understanding of market trends, supplier management, and excellent negotiation skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Analysis: Stay updated with market trends, commodity prices, and supplier capabilities to make informed purchasing decisions.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure advantageous terms and agreements. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
- Cost Optimization: Implement cost-effective purchasing strategies without compromising quality and reliability. Continuously seek opportunities to reduce procurement costs.
- Contract Negotiation: Draft and negotiate contracts, ensuring favorable terms and conditions. Monitor contract performance to ensure compliance.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control teams to ensure purchased commodities meet the required standards and specifications.
- Inventory Management: Work closely with inventory management teams to maintain optimal stock levels and prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop contingency plans to mitigate disruptions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, company policies, and ethical standards in all procurement activities.
- Reporting: Generate regular reports on procurement metrics, cost savings, supplier performance, and market trends. Analyze data to make data-driven decisions.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience as a Commodity Buyer or in a similar procurement role, preferably in the industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently with minimal supervision.
- Ethical and professional conduct in all interactions.
