Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management: Manage and coordinate projects with multiple team members, including other business units, to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget and timeline constraints.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide guidance and direction to surveying technicians to ensure that projects are completed to the highest standards.
  • Survey Planning: Prepare boundary and topographic survey plans and agreements, and perform survey computations and boundary resolution for boundary and ALTA surveys, and topographic surveys.
  • Construction Support: Prepare construction layout and as-built surveys, right-of-way surveys, and various other project types.

Requirements

  • Professional License: Possess a NY Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) license, or be able to obtain within one year.
  • Experience: Have 5+ years of professional surveying experience.
  • Education: Hold a Bachelor's degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Have experience with mapping software (Civil 3D, Carlson, Inroads, etc.) and strong knowledge of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment.
  • Communication Skills: Possess good written and verbal communication skills, and be able to read and interpret design/construction plans.
  • Project Management Skills: Be able to manage multiple projects and project teams, develop project scope and fee estimating, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Other Requirements: Maintain a current driver's license in good standing and be able to operate company-owned vehicles, work independently, and have a strong attention to detail.
