LVN Supervisor

The LVN Supervisor is a key member of the Arthur Ashe Student Health and Wellness Center team, responsible for overseeing clinic support services and supervising medical assistants, licensed vocational nurses, and floor leads. This role requires strong leadership and communication skills, as well as the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively.

• Supervise and coordinate the work of medical assistants, licensed vocational nurses, and floor leads
• Ensure that all applicable policies and standards are maintained
• Plan and adjust staffing daily to maintain efficient and adequate operations
• Conduct performance evaluations and provide training for new and existing staff
• Work on special projects as needed

• 1 year experience as a supervisor or clinical lead in a clinical setting
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
• Proficiency in blood withdrawal, IV skills, and basic nursing procedures
• Knowledge of patient rights, confidentiality regulations, and proper medical record handling
• Strong written communication skills
• Competence in using PC software, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Possession of a current BLS certification
• Venipuncture, Phlebotomy Certification, or Intravenous Therapy and Blood Withdrawal Certified

• Background Check: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory background investigation
• Live Scan Background Check: A Live Scan background check must be completed prior to the start of employment
• Age Requirement: Candidate(s) must be 18 years or older to be eligible to be hired
• Pre-Placement Physical: Employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory physical examination
• TB Test: Continued employment is contingent upon the completion of a satisfactory TB test
