Job Description

The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) is a key leadership position responsible for providing medical oversight and direction to the healthcare team. The CMO will ensure that International SOS Government Medical Services provides high-quality medical care to US government employees and contractors in Iraq.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise all healthcare providers at Directorate of Simulation (DOS) clinics, including health promotion and disease prevention, health maintenance counseling and education, diagnosis and directed physical exams, emergent and annual vaccinations, and comprehensive STD testing.
  • Provide primary care, including GYN, dermatology, ENT, pulmonary, neurological, cardiovascular, ophthalmology, orthopedics, psychology, and gastroenterology.
  • Participate in the assessment and stabilization of patients requiring urgent or emergent care.
  • Collaborate with on-site physicians, physician assistants, support staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Maintain compliance with all project site procedures, standards, and continuing educational and mandatory training requirements.
  • Participate in MASCAL exercises.
Qualifications
  • Board-Certified in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine.
  • Full unrestricted U.S. licensure required in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth (i.e., Puerto Rico) of the United States, or the District of Columbia.
  • Current Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) and Adult Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required.
  • Must be able to read, write, and speak English to effectively communicate.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Minimum 5 years' recent experience, including 6 months within the last year.
  • Experience on a military site working as a government subcontractor or prime contractor is preferred.

Compensation: $300,000 - $375,000 per year, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance, 401k plan, paid time off, and an annual bonus.
