Position: Church Organist Musician

Organization: LADGOV CORPORATION

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver musical support for a variety of worship events, including preludes, postludes, congregational singing, offertories, anthems, and service music tailored for both Liturgical and Contemporary Protestant Services.
  • Work in partnership with the Pastor to choose instrumental pieces and songs for regular and special worship occasions.
  • Facilitate rehearsals with the choir prior to services.
  • Guide practice sessions for musicians and choir participants.
  • Enhance and develop the choral ministry program within the community.

Qualifications:

  • High School diploma with a minimum of two (2) years of music education or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in organ and piano performance, familiarity with hymnal traditions, extensive knowledge of church music repertoire, conducting skills, and experience collaborating with the Duty Chaplain.
  • Proficient command of the English language.
