Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the wood production facility, ensuring the safety, security, and upkeep of all machinery.
- Instruct and train students on safe equipment operation through detailed safety protocols.
- Design and execute effective shop layouts and machine stations to enhance training efficiency.
- Provide hands-on training in wood production, cabinetry, furniture crafting, and CNC wood product manufacturing, in line with our educational framework.
- Collaborate with local educational leaders and instructors to offer outstanding career and technical training programs.
- Improve instructional quality by evaluating student performance and analyzing outcomes for ongoing enhancement.
- Engage in both short-term and long-term strategic planning for the growth and success of the program.
- Network with industry professionals to refine curriculum, training techniques, and material utilization.
- Act as a mentor and coach, supporting students in their professional and personal growth.
Essential Qualifications:
- Expertise in teaching wood technology fundamentals, including cabinetry, CNC fabrication, furniture crafting, manufacturing processes, and material science.
- Preferred background in both commercial enterprises and educational environments.
- A strong dedication to sustainable practices within the field of wood technology.
- Demonstrated experience working with students, collaborating with teams, and overseeing volunteers.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with students, staff, volunteers, and parents, while maintaining consistency, fairness, and respect.

MISSION STATEMENT
Training Youth in Technology and Wood Manufacturing to Meet the Needs of Community & Industry.
Lynden Door is a non-profit organization that assists local high school students in acquiring skills for future careers while exploring woodworking, modern manufacturing, and business.
This position is Safety Sensitive and contingent upon a pre-employment drug screening. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
