Inova Health System is seeking a highly skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist to join our team in Falls Church, Virginia.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure quality specimens for Laboratory testing by recognizing pre-analytical factors that adversely affect patient results.
- Operate systems/methodologies to produce timely and accurate data for patients, quality control, and proficiency testing.
- Participate in departmental development by demonstrating operational knowledge and adhering to regulatory standards.
- Participate in professional growth opportunities to enhance personal, team, and departmental development.
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's degree in science from a college/university recognized by regional or national accreditation agency.
- Years of Experience: Successful completion of a NAACLS accredited MLS program or ABHES accredited MLT program, within the last 12 months can be used in lieu of one-year full-time acceptable clinical experience.
- Certification: Eligible for ASCP or AMT Board certification consistent with scope of responsibility.
