About the Role

KurzSolutions is seeking a highly skilled Medical Technologist to join our team. As a Medical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory test results.

Responsibilities
  • Perform a range of routine and STAT testing on blood, urine, and other body fluids.
  • Collect, transport, process, and evaluate specimens for all laboratory sections.
  • Perform clinical chemistry and toxicology on automated and semi-automated instruments.
  • Store and prepare reagents, standards, and calibrators.
  • Maintain, calibrate, clean, and effect repairs of laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
  • Document functions and inform supervisory staff of any problems encountered.
  • Prepare, test, record, and interpret quality control materials.
  • Take corrective action for out-of-control results and immediately notify supervisory staff of any problems encountered.
  • Test, verify, and report patient test results in accordance with established protocols.
Requirements
  • Must have twelve (12) months of experience as a Medical Technologist/Clinical Laboratory Scientist with Generalist and Microbiology experience.
  • Must have a B.S. Degree in Medical Technology or one of the Biological Sciences (Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, etc.) from an accredited college or university.
  • The Medical Technologist (MT) shall be certified by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP), American Medical Technologists (AMT), or an equivalent Medical Laboratory Technician (with appropriate training) and a minimum of one (1) year of experience.
  • Must have certification in Current Basic Life Support (BLS).
