Assistant Professor Position

The Department of Criminology, Law and Society at the University of California, Irvine invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in CLS. We seek to hire a new or recent PhD with methodological expertise in quantitative or mixed methodologies, and substantive expertise in criminal behavior or the study of the criminal legal system.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses, conduct research, and contribute to the department's service and outreach activities. We are particularly interested in candidates working in the following areas: research on (1) crime and legal systems outside of the United States, Canada, Europe, and Australia and (2) behavior and regulation in the digital world of natural and artificial intelligences.
Qualifications
Candidates must have a Ph.D. in a related field by June 2025. A strong research and teaching record, as well as a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion, are highly desirable.
