### Job Summary

We are seeking a seasoned Protection and Control Engineer to join our team at Qualus. As a key member of our Substation Protection and Control department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the design concurrence of our projects.

### Responsibilities

- Coordinate with Substation Physical Engineering, Relay Settings, and other groups to ensure design concurrence.
- Develop complete engineering design packages for protective relaying and communications systems, including one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams, AC schematics, DC schematics, logic and functional diagrams, panel layouts, control house layouts, wiring/connection diagrams, interconnection diagrams, relaying equipment specifications, and bill of materials.
- Develop SCADA packages, including input/output lists (Point Data Sheets).
- Provide technical direction and on-the-job training to drafters, engineering technicians, and less experienced engineers.
- Develop, nurture, and maintain trusted relationships with senior-level engineers, managers, and executives with current or prospective clients.
- Confidently and comfortably present technical solutions to key customers; respond in real time to technical concerns and answer questions in a knowledgeable and articulate manner.
- Direct and/or participate in client meetings/job site visits to collect or deliver design and engineering data.
- Perform/ensure company's Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) processes are followed on all design packages.
- Delegate, plan, prioritize, and review the work of other engineers.

### Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) with a power systems focus. An MS degree in engineering will be considered in lieu of the BS Engineering degree. International Engineering Degrees will be considered.
- Seven or more years of electrical engineering experience is desired, experience in protection and control engineering is required.
- Professional Engineer (PE) registration or plan to become registered is required. Professional Engineering registration in the working state is a plus.
- Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record are required.
- Must have strong analytical and computer skills.
