About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Visual Merchandiser to join our team at Hillsdale. As a key member of our visual team, you will play a critical role in creating an engaging and immersive shopping experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide daily support to the management team by performing opening and closing routines, ensuring the store meets financial goals, and providing World-Class service to our guests.
  • Perform operational functions in the assigned area of accountability, including sales, visual merchandising, and back office procedures.
  • Ensure the store meets visual, replenishment, cleanliness, safety, and back of house standards during manager-on-duty shifts.
  • Effectively perform the Selling Captain role, serving as a role model for sales associates in sales generation and customer service.
  • Utilize Selling Essentials and training resources to educate team members on product, improve selling skills, and achieve business goals.
  • Provide training and coaching expertise to associates in selling, product knowledge, clienteling, and in-home services.
  • Maintain an environment where all associates are treated fairly and with dignity and respect, in accordance with our People First Philosophy.
Requirements
  • Effective communication, organization, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to motivate and influence others through personal actions and examples.
  • Ability to be active, standing, walking, bending, climbing, reaching, and lifting for extended periods of time.
  • 1-3 years retail sales experience with shift supervision experience preferred.
  • 1-2 years experience in home-related design, visual merchandising, or stockroom responsibilities preferred.

This role offers a competitive compensation package, including pay and benefits. Pay is based on several factors, including education, work experience, certifications, geographic location, and more. The anticipated pay range for this role will be $19.00 - $23.00 per hour.
