Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Restaurant Server Assistant to join our team at L'auberge Casino Resort Lake Charles. As a key member of our food and beverage team, you will provide exceptional customer service, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and support our servers in their duties.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide fast, friendly, and professional customer service to restaurant guests, food servers, and restaurant host/ess.
  • Adhere to established department and property policies and procedures regarding guest service standards.
  • Maintain par levels of operating supplies, condiments, and paper supplies for each service station, obtaining replacement stock in accordance with procedure.
  • Remove dirty dishes, solid linen, glassware, and flatware from table and counter tops, and transport items to designated area and clean tables and seats.
  • Reset tables with silverware, linen, napkins, and glassware in accordance with established restaurant table top specifications.
  • Assist servers in their duties, such as refilling water glasses and coffee cups, helping serve food orders, and attending to guest needs.
  • Wipe counter areas, sinks, and floors as required to maintain a clean and safe work station.
  • Maintain cleanliness of designated areas as directed in accordance with established health and safety standards.
  • Deep clean restaurant equipment, service stations, and refrigerators as scheduled, or required.
  • Remove and properly dispose of all refuse and debris accumulated in restaurant and service stations in accordance with department procedures.
  • Resolve service issues according to established guidelines.
  • Assist in Bar/Beverage set-up.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all company matters.
Requirements
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently move around work area.
  • Ability to stand for majority of shift.
  • Must be able to reach, bend, squat, and carry loads of up to 50 pounds, as well as push/pull loads of up to 100 pounds.
  • Must be able to sort all silverware as needed.
  • The skills necessary for this position are typically acquired through two months of on–the-job training or through related experience.
  • Stable work history required.
