Mechanical Pipefitter Foreman

Job Summary:

This position requires an in-depth knowledge of industrial pipe fitting in a heavy industrial setting. As a Mechanical Pipefitter, you will contribute to our team by doing layout, setting elevations and grade, and installing above-ground mechanical piping and supports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and test process piping ranging from 1/2" pipe to 36" pipe on a Water Treatment Facility.
• Work with various pipe materials, including PVC, DIP, Steel, SST, and FRP.
• Read and interpret contract documents, submittals, shop drawings, architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.
• Collaborate with the team to create a safe working environment and understand OSHA regulations.
• Take off and communicate tool and material requirements to the supervisor.
• Set up and perform piping tests.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the pipe-fitter/mechanical trade.
• Ability to read and understand construction drawings and specifications.
• Able to create a safe working environment and understand OSHA regulations.
• Ability to take off and communicate tool and material requirements to the supervisor.
• Must have experience in carbon steel, copper (soldering, brazing), and PVC installations.
• Must have experience setting mechanical equipment, including Clarifier equipment, pumps.
• Must be self-motivated and have the ability to work well with others.
• Ability to identify potential issues during installation and elevate them to Foreman/Gen Foreman.
• Must be able to pass a background check and a drug test.
