Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Classroom Teacher to join our team at the Boys Residential Academy. As a key member of our educational staff, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality instruction and support to our students.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct special education instruction to identified students.
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that engage students in meaningful learning experiences.
  • Design and implement research-based instructional strategies and activities.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet students' diverse needs and abilities.
  • Maintain knowledge of and implement established curriculum based on state standards.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Meet NC state teacher certification eligibility requirements.
  • 2+ years of successful teaching experience preferred.
  • Ability to restrain youth in accordance with approved techniques.

The Boys Residential Academy is a short-term juvenile justice residential program that provides a comprehensive rehabilitative experience to adjudicated male youth. Our program combines promising and evidence-based practices with a strong family transition component, emphasizing a strength-based approach to address youth behavioral challenges.
