Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Dodge County. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our residents.
Job Summary:The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing the condition of residents, monitoring for changes in condition, and responding with appropriate action. You will also communicate resident needs or condition changes to physicians, families, and other staff members. Additionally, you will review resident care plans, complete documentation, and coordinate with other staff members to ensure seamless care delivery.

- Administer medications, perform treatments, and provide direct patient care
- Document nursing assessments, interventions, and resident responses
- Communicate with physicians and families as needed, ensuring timely and effective care
- Report significant changes in resident condition to RN Supervisors and physicians as appropriate
- Receives and implements physician orders, prioritizing resident care needs
- Knowledge of principles, standards, practices, and techniques of skilled nursing
- Ability to assign and supervise the work of professional and non-professional personnel
- Accurate maintenance of patient medical records and preparation of reports
- Knowledge of electronic records systems and personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of resident care information and protect resident rights and privacy
- Knowledge of chemicals used in housekeeping and laundry services, including hazardous laundry chemicals and isolation procedures
- Ability to create and maintain a warm and clean environment, working tactfully and cooperatively with residents, families, and staff
This role requires occasional exertion of up to 75 pounds of force, with regular sitting, frequent standing, speaking, or hearing, and occasional walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. Work has standard vision requirements, with vocal communication and hearing necessary for expressing or exchanging ideas. Exposure to bloodborne pathogens and infectious wastes may be required, with the need to wear specialized PPE.
