About the Role
Shinda Management Corporation is seeking a skilled Construction Supervisor to oversee construction projects at our properties. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring that construction work is completed to the highest professional standards, on time, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
\u2022 Oversee construction projects, including new construction and preservation projects.
\u2022 Work with design and construction teams to mitigate risks and ensure compliance with local laws and regulations.
\u2022 Communicate with real estate team and CBE leadership about project progress and any concerns.
\u2022 Make decisions in the best interest of residents and ownership, including resident relocation strategies, finish selection, and sustainability strategy.
\u2022 Coordinate with property management and residents for access, communicate expectations, and minimize disruptions to residents in preservation projects.
\u2022 Oversee capital projects in CBE's existing operating buildings.
\u2022 Proactively identify when CBE should initiate the physical needs assessment process and select and hire engineers.
\u2022 Select a design team based on an RFP process for significant capital projects.
\u2022 Work with managing agents and design teams to develop scopes of work, select contractors, and oversee construction for significant capital projects.
Requirements
\u2022 Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field.
\u2022 At least 7-10 years of experience in construction management, preferably in affordable housing or multifamily residential projects.
\u2022 Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, codes, and regulations.
\u2022 Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
\u2022 Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple stakeholders.
\u2022 Proficiency in Microsoft Office, project management software, and CAD software.
