Role Summary: TACO Metals is seeking a dedicated Plant Controller to enhance our Finance/Accounting Department. This position plays a crucial role in managing, directing, and coordinating financial reporting, accounting, and budgeting activities to support our operational growth.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and mentor the Accounting Team.
  • Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) process to ensure timely vendor payments.
  • Oversee the Accounts Receivable (AR) process to guarantee customer payments are received on time.
  • Perform balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
  • Adhere to the corporate financial close schedule.
  • Ensure accurate inventory valuation through various financial reports.
  • Prepare and present monthly financial statements.
  • Analyze budget variances and communicate findings to management.
  • Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal financial reporting requirements.
  • Monitor and manage capital expenditures.
  • Collaborate with various departments including HR, Purchasing, and Sales.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in Accounting or Finance.
  • Experience in manufacturing and cost accounting is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated accountability and follow-through.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.
