Job Description

Cg Tax, Audit & Advisory is seeking a skilled Litigation Support Accountant to enhance our team's capabilities. As a member of our Litigation & Valuation Services Group, you will contribute to high-profile cases involving business valuation, matrimonial and commercial litigation, forensic analysis, and more.

  • Conducting investigative accounting and discovery tasks.
  • Working on complex litigation and business valuation cases.
  • Preparing reports for litigation proceedings and client communications.
  • Managing relationships with clients, attorneys, and opposing experts.
  • Collaborating with senior staff to ensure report analysis supports conclusions.
  • Conducting market research.
  • Managing deadlines, client deliverables, and supporting documents within a team environment.
  • Maintaining our firm's best practices and demonstrating ethical behavior.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance.
  • Strong accounting/auditing background.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Forensic accounting experience a bonus.
  • General understanding of business valuation approaches and methodologies a plus.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong project management, analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Aptitude to grasp new concepts and work individually or in a collaborative environment.
  • Ability to work on cases in a fast-paced environment.
  • CPA, CFA, ABV, ASA, or other valuation credential(s) (or progress plan towards such certifications) preferred.
  • Will consider candidates with a strong public accounting or auditing background looking to transition into litigation.
  • This position is hybrid; a combination of remote and in-office work. In-office work will be determined by Cg management and/or client needs.
