Job Title: Speech and Language Therapist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Speech and Language Therapist to join our team at KIPP NYC Public Schools. As a Speech and Language Therapist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality speech and language services to our students.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide speech-language therapy to students with varying needs and abilities, including those with speech and language disorders, autism, and other developmental disabilities.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to meet the unique needs of each student.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that students receive comprehensive support and services.
  • Conduct assessments and screenings to identify students who may require speech and language services.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and other staff members on strategies for supporting students with speech and language needs.
  • Participate in Child Study Teams and other meetings to discuss student progress and develop plans for supporting students.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field.
  • New York State certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence.
  • At least two years of experience working with students with speech and language disorders.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
