We are seeking a highly skilled Academic Trauma and Critical Care Surgeon to join our team at Baylor Scott and White Health - Central Texas. As a member of our Division of Trauma & Acute Care Surgery, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of surgeons and healthcare professionals who are dedicated to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage all trauma and emergency general surgery consults
  • Round for the STICU and Trauma Acute Care Surgery Services
  • Provide OR coverage for Trauma, Emergency General Surgery, and Elective General Surgery
  • Develop and implement academic programs for residents and medical students
  • Conduct research and participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve patient outcomes

Requirements

  • MD/DO degree
  • Fellowship training in Trauma, Surgical Critical Care or Acute Care Surgery
  • Board Certification by the American Board of Surgery or Osteopathic Board Certification
  • Texas Medical License
  • Fellow of the American College of Surgeons when qualified
  • ATLS certification
  • Experience with the surgical care of trauma, emergency general surgery, and critical care patients
