Public Works Maintenance Associate III Position

The Town of Marana is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Associate III to join our Public Works Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading work crews in performing general roadway maintenance, performing routine skilled maintenance and/or landscaping tasks, and ensuring safety rules and regulations are observed on the job site.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead work crews in performing general roadway maintenance
- Perform routine skilled maintenance and/or landscaping tasks
- Inspect, clean, and perform routine maintenance work on trucks and equipment
- Identify and report mechanical problems
- Assure safety rules and regulations are observed on the job site
- Track and manage work orders, work flow, and supplies
- Assist with removal and replacement of concrete and asphalt
- Operate light equipment, including skid steer, loaders, and backhoe
- Set up traffic control devices
- Inspect and maintain equipment, blue staking, inventory, and process work orders in Cartegraph
- High school diploma or GED equivalency plus six months of additional education or training
- Over five (5) years of street construction/maintenance/landscaping experience or closely related field
- Valid Arizona Driver License
- AZ Certified Pesticide Applicator License or must obtain within 6 months of employment
- Must pass a pre-employment physical, a 50-pound lift test
- Ability to pass both the Town of Marana background check and a motor vehicle records check
- AZ Certified Pesticide Applicator License plus over five (5) years of street construction/maintenance/landscaping experience
- Experience working in a Municipality/Government setting
